Community Mediation Program

Volunteer Community Mediators are the heart of Community Mediation Program. 

Assigned as co-mediators to all CMP mediation sessions, volunteer mediators represent the diversity of Baltimore city, with respect to education, income, race, age, and religion.  Their training includes 50 hours of classroom training, an apprenticeship, personal evaluation sessions, and continuing education requirements.

Numbering over 250, our mediators gave 0ver 4000 hours of service last year.  The monetary value of the mediation services provided totaled over $270,000.
