Celebration

The 5th Annual Mediation Celebration was held on October 23rd, 2008 and was an incredibly successful event.  2008 was the best attended mediation celebration to date.  It also was the most prosperous as we raised over $ 26,000 in donations and gifts. The event was held in the futuristic and elegant DLA Piper office building. Our keynote speaker for the evening was the engaging and knowledgeable Baltimore Police Commissioner Frederick H. Bealefeld III.    David Zoll and  Donny Meurer  received the Lorig Charkoudian Award for their tireless volunteer work on behalf of Community Mediation.   Community Mediation also honored Bob Mathias with the Peacemaker Award.  We are grateful to all of our volunteers who attended, participated in the silent auction and gave their time and energy to make it a ground-breaking event!

Peace garden

Thanks to a generous $ 136,000 grant from the TFK Foundation, the Peace Garden is complete!  The beautifully landscaped Peace Garden provides a refuge from the bustle of Greenmount Avenue, and is a lush and natural setting for reflection and healing for those actively engaged in the movement against violence.

We welcome you to come by the office and enjoy the Peace Garden located behind the building.

Mediations for all!

We have a goal of 350 sessions this calendar year.  As of the beginning of March, we are at 45 mediations.  Please help us reach our goals by choosing the voluntary, confidential, neutral and free process of mediation to resolve your dispute.   Our ultimate goal is to bring this wonderful and useful resource to as many people as possible.
